Why is it worth learning from us
Fedor used to be an introverted programmer and lived like a hermit for many years. Any meeting or even a chat message caused him severe stress.
Now Fedor runs 2 businesses, manages teams of 20+ people, regularly makes public speeches. However, he remained the same introvert who has built the communication around him in a way that helps him reach the goals instead of killing him.
Mariana has successfully been building new teams and products in distributed teams for over 12 years. She knows what to do when people from different time zones create dozens of chats and don't turn on cameras during the meetings. Apart from distributed teams, she has managed a big office unit in a large international company Ciklum.
Together we've been teaching people for many years. 5000 students have taken out courses. We have enough experience, but we are such nerds that we decided to invite a psychologist as a course expert because we know we can do even better. We've already worked with Irina and can rely on her expertise.

I would recommend the course to everyone who suffers from communication problems and cannot identify the root causes.

I started to use the time blocking method which stops me from neglecting my lunch breaks like a fool while working from home. I've also got the hang of using focus mode in Mac OS to turn off all the notifications during work. I don't use it constantly, but it helps immensely when I need to concentrate on a complex task. Now I pay more attention to how we communicate in chats. Personally, I have already given up the habit of sending short messages and expecting an immediate reply. I prefer to give all the context to make it easier for my colleagues to answer any time. But now I see that I used to be too tolerant regarding synchronous communication from my coworkers. I used to answer almost at once with follow-up questions if there was not enough context. Probably I overindulged them, so now I'm reducing synchronicity.

The course materials help you to look at your team from a set of different angles and see patterns that may seem normal, though they adversely influence productivity and mutual understanding.

I am not a developer at all, I am the head of the PR department. Yet the course has made my workdays different. What I took away from the course is the time blocking method. Thanks to it, I managed to deal with my procrastination and admitted the advantage of focusing on one task instead of multitasking. Surprisingly, I realized that I sometimes need more meetings to move forward with my projects. But now I can turn down 30% of meeting invitations without any hesitation. I learn to protect my time and work deep, without uncontrollable switches.

I recommend this course to everyone who feels chaotic and overwhelmed with tasks and chatting. If sometimes you run throughout the day like a scalded cat, but don't see any results at the end, the course will also be useful. The tips will be relevant no matter what job you do.

What I like the most is the course structure. All the information is discretized and put together into firm units. There are big solid blocks of information worth returning to.

Chaos windows was the most helpful technique, I have absorbed it once and forever. Within the team, we often discuss asynchronous work and how to reduce time loss to zero, avoid waiting and work more intensively.

I have given up my role of a savior. Now I wait until my colleagues request help. A bit of boldness turned out to be the key as well, now I reject unnecessary meetings and straightforwardly ask if they really need me there. I recommend this course to those who want to have some peace and quiet in our busy world.

What I like above all others is how consistent the course material is. The order of theory doesn't always have to be the same as the order of practical steps. The course is not a manual, but sooner a set of concepts one can adapt and introduce within the team. Further reading was also very useful, I liked it a lot.

In case you need to deal effectively with work distress or to alter something in your team work, then you can be sure the course is the right place to start.

After the course I started watching the timing of the team meetings. Before that I never had a chance, being a bundle of doubts. But my colleagues did support me eventually, so now we all are getting used to this timing control. The next step would be to prepare meeting agenda beforehand and have no surprise topic switches.
Igor
I'm certain that everyone from a developer to a CEO will benefit from the course. Even if you won't manage to implement the methods from the course to the whole team, you'll still get an upgrade of your personal skills and will enjoy it.

You'll have lifelong access to the course. It's really cool that you can review the materials and discover useful details you’ve never come across before, because it's impossible to see a long-read for the first time and immediately solve all your problems.

We've implemented chaos windows – time blocks with no tasks planned. Although it has not worked for the development team yet, our management is trying to close all the chats and have deep work sessions. We also started to reshape our calendars. We added breaks between the meetings. We're trying to move together the meetings by their type etc.
Dmitry
All the materials were useful, though I haven't implemented all of the knowledge yet. I guess I should get through some certain points again, think them over and then start to apply them.

I have optimized my work schedule. Before that, I was drowning in work routine and endless meetings having no chance to manage my workload. Now I have time to move forward with my tasks. I came to a realization of some seemingly simple things. For example, that it is absolutely okay to have a coffee break after a couple of meetings instead of switching to the next task straightaway. The top idea for me was protecting my calendar and my time.
